What to Expect: Our Design Process
1. Consultation & Site Evaluation
We meet with you to understand your goals, preferences, and how you plan to use your space.
2. Design Proposal Creation
Our team reviews all the specifics from the initial consultation and if it is determined that extensive design is required, we will estimate the time necessary to create a design and/or masterplan. This can be accomplished as a set fee or by the hour, billed monthly.
3. Concept Development
Our design team invests the time necessary to achieve the project goals, wants, needs, etc. through the creation of a design or masterplan. In the development stage we provide rough budgets to help guide decisions.
4. Design Refinement
After the initial concept has been presented, our team takes all feedback back to the design studio where we refine layout, and then define materials, and details to ensure functionality and aesthetic alignment. Once completed, our team can start producing contracts to execute all or parts of your project.
5. Construction Drawings, Engineering, Permitting
If needed for your specific project, the second part of the design proposal is presented for funding, which engages our design team to create construction drawings, work with civil and structural engineers, and start the permitting process.
5. Planning & Coordination
Once ready for implementation, the design team partners with one of our in-house project management, purchasing, and operations team members to create the in-house team to see your project come to life.
6. Execution & Oversight
As a design-build firm, we ensure the final result reflects the original vision by constant communication and site visits with our in-house teams ensuring that your project is built according to plan and any changes or modifications (because every project has them) are thoughtful and purposeful.

Long answer: We have a great reputation with other landscape designers and architects in our space and we would need to ensure the design you have is buildable and free of any liens or conditions preventing us from install.

Timelines vary depending on the scope of the project, but we provide clear expectations during the consultation phase. Smaller projects can typically be turned around quickly and larger projects can take months to even years in the design process.
Do you design for existing landscapes or only new projects?
We work with both new and existing spaces, developing solutions that improve functionality and overall design.
Will the design account for drainage and irrigation?
Yes. These elements are considered during the design phase to ensure long-term performance and avoid future issues.
